My first attempt at a proper watercolour painting.

Those yellow fish seriously look like lemons.... I wonder what they taste like...

Tools: watercolour, pencil, white ink on Bockingford paper

What a lovely under water scene.

How did you made the stones?

Thanks :)
I used salt and alcohol to create some texture in the rocks, and then painted around some of the imperfections to make the bubbley texture.

Thank you for the answer. ^^

Yesterday I also tried alcohol, but it didn't worked like it should. >.< How long did it take you to learn to use it?

I haven't used it many times, so I wouldn't say I've learned yet! I just use a brush or pipette to drop it into the paint, but you can't really see where the alcohol is, since I painted over it. Stuff like that never behaves predictably, you just have to go with it. :D

I see. Than I have to live with that. I should relax, but it's hard when things turn out bad. >.<

Don't worry, we all have to start somewhere :). I think learning to use uncontrollable media or mistakes to your advantage is something that takes along time to learn.

Thank you for the encouragement. :) I just have to be patient. That should be the hardest lesson to learn.
